"Bugdolph"!--Bug as "Bugdolph" the Red Nosed Reindeer--2011

Red Nosed Reindeer Sighted

A reindeer has been seen in the vicinity of a small Central Illinois community on or about dusk Saturday, November 26, 2011. There was something very interesting about the deer.

A little boy was playing in the lighted backyard of his home, which is located at the edge of the village. The home is adjacent to a large field. The youngster explained to reporters that it was getting dark, and he saw something red sparkling in the distance in the field. Later, he looked up from playing and saw the red glow come into view. It was a reindeer with a red nose. He happened to have his sister’s cell phone in his pocket, and he snapped the above photo.

The boy said that the tiny deer was quite friendly. The boy stood very still. The reindeer stepped within a few feet of him. He extended his head to the boy and exhaled. The boy could feel the warmth of its breath. The wee deer winked at him, pawed the ground, and starting grazing. All the while, the deer’s nose showed the way to more luscious grass on which to nibble.

The boy’s mother was inside cooking the evening meal. When his mother called him for supper, the red nosed reindeer bounded off into the field. Before the boy ran inside, he looked up, down, and all around. There was no fat man in a red suit or a sleigh with a team of eight tiny reindeer in sight.

The boy did tell reporters that he heard a faint bark in the distance right before the red nosed reindeer jumped and ran for the field. The bark seemed to be calling the reindeer. Could it have been Santa Paws?
