Following is the story of My Girl, Lettie Anne. Lettie happens to be the older sister of My Girl, Miss Clover White. They have the same sire. Not all of Lettie’s photo shoots are loaded, but the ones that have been loaded can be found below this text.

My heart dog, Chloe Anne, was experiencing declining sight and health. I knew one day I would lose her, and I always planned to get another buff Cocker. I had been watching Stephanie Main’s breeding program for years, and I dreamed of adopting one of her fine puppies. Stephanie owns a wonderful AKC approved kennel in Altona, Illinois. She breeds beautiful companions for pet homes. I highly recommend Classy Country Cockers, whose buff and black puppies are from champion dominant pedigrees.

My beloved Chloe made her journey to The Rainbow Bridge on July 21, 2008. Some months later, still devastated and grieving, I started working with Stephanie. She knew the type of pup I was looking for, and on February 22, 2009, a lovely litter of buffies was born.

At about 3-1/2-weeks of age, I made the trip to Altona to choose my puppy. I was excited to finally meet Stephanie after all those years, and I got the pick of the girl puppies. Stephanie made the day an absolute joy. I chose the prettiest girl, the one Stephanie thought I’d pick, and I named her Lettie Anne. Lettie’s middle name was given to her in honor of My Chloe Anne. Only the finest puppy girl could be named after My Chloe.

When the day came to bring Lettie home, I couldn’t wait. It was the happiest Easter weekend I can ever remember. I loved Lettie, but on the drive home I fell in love with her completely. It was like Chloe came down and gave me permission to let go.

Right away because of Lettie’s nature, she made friends with her sister pack, especially with My Clairee Kayte. I think she took on some of Clairee’s shy nature. Lettie is cautious when meeting strangers. She often barks at them and keeps her distance. Once she warms up to you, she is a darling. Lettie is sweet, gentle, and submissive. In the mornings when it’s feeding time, she loves to slip through the dog room gate. I go to the kitchen for fresh water, and she tours the house to see if there is anything new she needs to know about, then she joins me in the kitchen. I think she likes that time alone with me.

Sometimes when I see Lettie in a free stack in the dog yard, she takes my breath away. She is so beautiful and so dear to me. I love everything about her. When I do a photo shoot with Lettie, it’s like magic happens. She instinctively knows the expression I want. I position her, and she knows to stay in that position. Lettie is a gorgeous subject.

When Chloe Anne died, I lost the sunshine of my pack. When I adopted My Lettie Anne, I got my sunshine back. I can’t tell you how much Lettie means to me. I could never find all the words, the right words to express my deep feelings for her. With sunshine comes rainbows, and I gave her the AKC registered name, Classy Country's Rainbow of the Diamond. Lettie is very special, and I am blessed to have her as My Girl.

Enjoy Lettie’s photo shoots. Lettie is a gorgeous subject, and I know you’ll want to view every picture of her. And . . . don’t miss Lettie’s pictures with her sister, Clover White, in the My Buffies Group!
